months training programme on “Skill up gradation & market linkage of stitching &
A total of 60 (30+30) numbers of tribal beneficiaries did participate in the training programme at our permanent rural development and handicraft centre “Poorbita'' located at Jadabganj - Purba Bardhaman and Santiniketan - Birbhum. Tribal women were taught to cut & stitch ladiesbags, petticoats, blouses, pajama-panjabi, shirts, trousers and different types of Cotton, Khes, Cord, Jeans, Jute embroideries bag etc. The trained people were awarded with certificates, identity cards of crafts-people from the Ministry of Textile (Govt. of India) as well as from Udyog Aadhar Registration Certificate, MSME (Govt. Of India). Afterwards, some of these trained people got the opportunity to participate in different handicraft fairs in India and showed their acquired skill. This way, we strive and take the opportunity to make these people self-employed and self-sufficient.
